The St. Francis Columbarium and Memorial Garden is designed to honor the beautiful mountain setting of St. Francis, and to incorporate the natural world as a peaceful placeholder for our memories. It is intended to be a place of reverence, beauty, and tranquility.
Christian faith affirms the beginning and ending of our life rests with God. One of the church’s most ancient and revered traditions has been burial within the church grounds.
In keeping with this tradition, a Columbarium and Memorial garden has being established on the grounds of St. Francis of the Tetons Episcopal Church in Alta, Wyoming. Cremated human remains will be interred in niches in the Columbarium wall or in cylinders placed in the ground inside the garden. It is fitting that at life’s end our remains may rest within the sacred space of the Church.
Memorial pavers are also available to honor a loved one who is interred or buried elsewhere.
All are welcome to purchase a niche as a final resting place of a loved ones cremains
